Curb Appeal

Did you know a potential home buyer make up his or her mind about whether they would live in your home within the 1st minute  they pull up to the curb ?  That fact makes it most important to focus on the “curb appeal” of your home!  And the good news – exterior remodeling & refreshing projects are the best investment for expected recoupment.  So my potential sellers don’t forget about the outside of your home when you are planning to sell.  Even if you can’t afford to invest a lot of money in staging, there are so many inexpensive ways to spruce up your home.  Consider these low cost tips:

–          Freshen up all landscaped areas with fresh mulch and new shrubs & flowers

–          Keep grassy areas well maintained

–          Power wash the exterior hard-scape areas

–          Wash all your windows

–          Make small repairs in walkways & porches,

–          Paint your front door and shutters a bright color that contrasts with your home’s exterior

–          Add potted flowers or small shrubs on each side of the front door

–          If space allows, add an outdoor seating area complete with decorative pillows

These small and inexpensive changes will make a huge difference to buyers as they pull up to your home.  And if they like what they see you are one step closer to selling your home!
