Pretty Patio Potted Plants
Summer is in full swing and everywhere you look flowers are in bloom! I love the beauty this time of year especially living on the East coast where 5 months out of the year the landscape is barren! Patios and Porches should provide some of that lush beauty and that means plenty of stylish container pots. After all, these outdoor spaces need accessories too! Here are some tips for creating a lush colorful potted garden from spring right into fall.
Move your indoor plants outside during the warmer season. Not only do they love to be outdoors and respond beautifully, it’ll save money when purchasing new plants each spring. I also love to mix herb pots in with flowers and foliage. They offer a variety of textures and colors and best of all – you have fresh herbs at your finger tips! Add colorful seasonal flowers to neutral terra cotta pots. As the flowers age through the summer, I’ll replace them with smaller seasonal versions to add color
throughout the seasons. And as summer turns to fall consider adding pumpkins and gourds to your late summer foliage for brighter color! Finally, rearrange your pots occasionally to change the look of your outdoor space. Just like rearranging furniture in a room, changing your plant groupings will offer a whole new look!
