Why is it that designers sometimes have a harder time designing their own spaces than those of their clients? I looked around my family room this winter and said it’s time for a change! My husband – who has a great eye for design and I have not agreed on much when it comes to updating the hub of our home. I think I heard “man cave” come out of his mouth (did I say he has an eye for design?). So, periodically, I will keep you updated on the “make-over of our family room”. So far, we’ve agreed to white wash the brick fireplace and hearth & it looks great and we’ve purchased great distressed hickory hardwood to replace the carpet. We’ve sold the armoire and finally bought a large flat screen for the room! Yay! Now my fun begins, window treatments, built-ins, new furniture – I’ll keep your posted!
